Walking Shadow Co-Artistic Director John Heimbuch performed Charlie Bethel’s fierce hourlong retelling of Beowulf. A faithful and accessible adaptation of the classic Old English poem about a warrior king and some famous monsters, modernizing the wit, vigor, and meaty language of the original Anglo-Saxon epic.
This was a Virtual Performance – in keeping with the parameters of Social Distancing due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, we offered a special live online “virtual performance” of Charlie Bethel’s Beowulf on Walking Shadow’s Facebook Page.

Beowulf contains descriptions of human / monster violence, akin to The Lord of the Rings or Star Wars. Recommended for age 10+.
